ANVAYA COVE GOLF COURSE HOLE NAMES AND DESCRIPTIONS
The golf course at Anvaya cove will be a golf experience like no other. Each hole will have its own personality and be a testament to the coexistence of great golf and the environment. Whether perched on an adjacent cliff above the sea or set high atop the rolling hillsides, the Anvaya Cove golf course has it all. The golf course takes advantage of the phenomenal scenery and follows the existing terrain using the existing forest and natural stream courses to its advantage. Visually striking and intimidating, the golfer course will fairly challenge all levels of golfers and provide a mentally stimulating experience for all. The course has been designed to provide fun family golf for the entire family, but can easily be transformed into a strong test of golf for the accomplished golfer under tournament conditions. Anvaya Cove’s unique character will provide wonderful memories for the whole family.
| With tees perched above a beautiful lake, this 345 meter (377 yard) par 4, will provide a good start for everyone. All golfers are sure to be filled with anticipation and optimism as they look out to a comfortable landing area. From this relatively wide landing area, the golfer must negotiate a short shot over a natural stream that separates fairway from green. Gorgeous trees have been preserved along the stream and behind the green framing the hole. | Anticipation |
| This par 5, 535 meter (585 yard), requires commitment from the golfer as the tee shot is one of the most daring on the course. The fairway is set at an angle allowing the golfer to choose his line of play, weighing the risk to the reward. The tee shot must carry the natural ravine that separates the tee from the fairway. The green site is a plateau green with the distant sea behind. The golfer must choose to go for it or lay-up. Any shot just short of the green will funnel to a low area in front of the left greenside bunkers, making for a very challenging pitch to an elevated green. | Daring |
| The first hole to require a precise tee shot. Driver may not be the best choice as this par 4 only measures 305meters (335yards) and is downhill from tee to landing area. A well placed tee shot will be rewarded with an easier approach shot to the green. Cross bunkering, from shouldering the right landing area to the left front of the green, all but forces the layup tee shot as driver would be high risk with minimal reward with the green well bunkered all around. | Concentration |
| As with all of the holes on this golf course, the strategy is clearly evident to the golfer from the tee of this 365 meter, par 4 fourth hole. Two bunkers back the landing area, while one small trap sits front-right of the green. Playing the proper angles will help keep a player out of the sand traps en route to the green. | Accuracy |
| Playing up a grassy valley, this long par 4 plays even longer than the 410 meters (448 yards) shown on the scorecard and has fantastic views to the distant mountains and surrounding hillsides. Two well hit shots with fortitude and conviction will be necessary for the golfer to reach the green in two shots. The green is guarded only by mounds and hollows, and it allows for a well hit run up shot to reach the putting surface. | Fortitude |
| At 175 meters (191 yards), this par 3 will require a balance of length and accuracy. This downhill par 3 is fairly straight forward but proper club selection is a must. The green is split into 2 levels and putting can become more challenging if you find yourself on the wrong level. | Balance |
| This uphill dogleg right par 4, 390 meter (426 yard), along a meandering stream must be respected. While the right center of the fairway shortens the approach shot, too far right brings the stream quickly into play. Left center of the fairway is safe but you must negotiate the existing trees on the left edge of the fairway that come into play on the approach shot. A deep bunker guards the right side of the green. Take plenty of club on this demanding approach shot but there is plenty of room left of the green and the slope works to the golfers benefit. | Respect |
| This breathtaking par 3 is the pinnacle point on the golf course and measures 190 meters (208 yards) downhill. From here the golfer can see everything and will need a moment to take it all in. A large bunker protects the left front of the green, and back right bunker set into the hillside guards the back right of the green. Adaptability is key as the golfer must change with the varying conditions through the day. Wind, elevation and hazards will make club selection vary day to day. Perhaps the most memorable hole on the front nine. | Aspiration |
| This closing hole to the front nine offers plenty of risk vs. reward. The tee shot plays from high on a hill, with tees stepping down the hillside, to a landing area guarded by a natural stream crossing beyond the landing area. The green is guarded by a beautiful lake adding even greater drama to the approach shot. One of the longest par 5’s on the golf course at 540 meters (590yards), this hole will provide plenty of excitement and decide many matches. The entire clubhouse will have a spectacular view as all golfers finish the front nine holes. | Resilience |
| With one of the most breathtaking views on the entire golf course this 505meter (552 yard) par 5, will play much shorter as it rolls down the ridge to a green perched at the end of the ridge some 100′ below. The golfer must use self- control and place the drive carefully. If hit too far it will find the down slope which will take the ball closer to the green but with a difficult downhill lie to a long narrow green flanked on both sides by sand. | Discipline |
| The Wise golfer will know from experience such a short par 4 does not come without great risk. At only 310 meters(340 yards), it will be tempting to hit driver and try to reach the green some 30 feet below. To do this, the golfer must carry a massive bunker that stretches along the cliff from landing area to green. The slightest miss hit right will end up in a low collection area right of the fairway and make a challenging approach. The wind coming off the sea will be a strong factor here in respect to club selection off the tee. A shot played safely to the right side of the landing area will allow both a run up or high lofted approach to this small green set directly on the edge of the cliff. | Wisdom |
| Yet another breathtaking hole, this is an intense par 4 385 meter (421 yard) requires 2 big shots. With the tees set high above the landing area and green, the golfer must be careful not to be too aggressive off the tee as the landing area is 80 feet below and bisected by a natural stream working its way across the fairway and down to the beach. From here, the fairway drops down to the green another 30 feet below separating the beach from the natural hillside. This is the only hole where the golfer gets down to the beach. | Intensity |
| Legend has it that this point is guarded over by a wise old woman. Perhaps this superstition can work for you or against you on this short downhill par 3 measuring 145 meters (158 yards). From the tee, every golfer will be in awe at the unparalleled view to the sea in all directions. The green snakes along the ridge top dropping off to the sea on either side. Bunkers set along the left side of the green are more of saving grace on these holes as it will keep errant shots from bouncing over the cliff. Likely the most scenic and memorable hole on the golf course. | Reflection |
| Playing down through a valley and back up to the green this hole is a tribute to nature as it plays across a stream twice and preserves some incredible trees. This 370 meter (405 yard) hole will play longer and require excellent concentration to navigate the stream crossings and existing forest. The larger green sits along the stream and has 2 bunkers back right flashed into the hillside. A lone pot bunker saves the golfer that is long and just left of the green. | Focus |
| The longest golf hole on the golf course plays even longer than the scorecard reads as it is carved into the hillside and plays uphill along the stream. At 560 meters (612 yards) it is abeast. With no fairway bunkers, the golfer must find the power to hit three strong shots to reach this par 5 in regulation. Perhaps the most difficult hole on the golf course. Par here is well earned. | Strength |
| Oriented back toward the sea, this 175 meter (190 yard), par 3 hole is the last hole on the course to feature the ocean scenery. This golf hole is cut along the top of the ridge, dropping from elevated tees to a well-guarded ridge top green. The safe shot is to the middle of this large rolling green. The persistent golfer will have a good chance at par. | Persistence |
| A shorter par 4, this335 meter (366 yard) downhill par 4 seventeenth hole offers a wide landing area short of the fairway bunker flanking the left side of the landing area. The more aggressive players will attempt to carry the left side bunkers to drive the green or get close. A strong ridge and two bunkers – one large, sprawling trap and one small pot sit below the green, right of the approach, while one bunker left pinches the green near its center. The calculating golfer will be rewarded. | Tactical |
| The closing hole is a strong, gently uphill par 4 -365 meter (400 yard) ascending to the clubhouse. A large fairway bunker flashed into the hillside beyond the landing area guides the golfer to the prime landing area. From here the golfer must hit a solid mid to long iron over a creek to green backed by two bunkers flashed into the slope. A cascading waterfall right of the green adds drama beauty to this closing hole. | Composure |
